OUR BEGINNINGS
In 1895, forty women with literary and cultural interests met and formally organized The Woman's Club of Westfield. Miss Emma Bridges was the first president.
In 1896, the Club joined the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs and the General Federation of Women's Clubs.
The Club meets monthly (October-May) on the second Monday at 1:00 P.M. at the First Congregational Church. The Fortnightly Group meets Monthly (October-May) the third Wednesday evening at 7:30 P.M..
The Junior Womans Club meets on the first Tuesday evening of each month at 7:30 P.M. Address: P.O.Box 524, Westfield N.J. 07091-0524.
Special programs and events are scheduled throughout the year.
Members are kept informed of programs, projects and news of the club through a monthly newsletter mailed to each member October through May.
