"Westfield Live", a new local access cable television show has been broadcast on Westfield, NJ's channel 36. New editions of the community talk show will be shown throughout the year. Viewers are invited to tune in to TV-36 for a complete schedule.
The program, hosted by Westfield resident, Mitch Slater, will bring to the limelight the people in our community that make a difference in our daily lives. The first show was filmed entirely in Mindowaskin Park and features one-on-one interviews with the Honorable Thomas C. Jardim, Mayor of Westfield; Stan Kaslusky, the Executive Director of the Westfield "Y"; and Nancy Jackson, Executive Director of the Westfield Symhony Orchestra. The show's host, Mitch Slater is a Vice President and Sales Manager for Merrill Lynch in Short Hills. He has hosted a nationally syndicated financial radio program as well as being a featured guest on CNBC, Comcast Cable, CNN and PBS. Future programs will include interviews with local celebrities, authors and hometown heroes that make Westfield proud. The TV crew is made up entirely of volunteers. Darryl Walker and Bill McMeekan co-produce the show. The show's Director is Phil Falcone who also handles the audio. Credits for the Editing and Graphics of the show go to Bill McMeekan.
