Sunday School

"Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them, for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs."
Luke 18:16

"The fourth “R” in Your Child’s Education"

St. Paul’s Christian Education bases its lessons and activities on the Episcopal Church Calendar. The old and New Testament lessons read in church each Sunday will also be read to your school-age children in conjunction with age-appropriate activities and discussions.

Lectionary-based Christian Education can unify a family around Sunday’s scripture. Conversations about faith can spring up naturally around the dinner table, in your car or “wherever two or more are gathered.”

Through Bible Readings, songs, games and craft projects, we will celebrate the fundamentals of our Episcopal Faith, our salvation through Our Lord Jesus Christ, and how we worship and conduct our lives.

Curriculum Overview

Kindergarten through 8th Grade
“Living the Good News”

This lectionary-based program covers the major areas of the Episcopal tradition.  Bible readings will coincide with those lessons heard by parents in church each week.

High School
Our youth group has been designed to include confirmation preparation, education, socials, outreach and other liturgical opportunities.  At the moment, the youth group meets periodically.

For the Younger Ones

Nursery Care - Under 2 years old: babysitting in our nursery.

Two Year Olds - Activities and free play with Bible and Christian-based themes

Three Year Olds & Four Year Olds - We begin to introduce the children to the weekly lessons through arts, crafts, plays and stories.

Sunday School Schedule

Sunday School classes begin at 9:45am. Please leave your child at his/her classroom. Children younger than kindergarten will remain in their classroom throughout the service. Those in kindergarten and older will join their families in Church to celebrate communion together.

If you want to celebrate communion with your preschool-age child, please inform their teacher that you will be picking them up for communion. It helps to prepare your child ahead of time so he/she can better manage the transition out of the classroom and into the church.

Sunday School is held every Sunday except on major holiday weekends and where noted in the weekly Epistle.

"Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it."
Luke 18:16
