General Policies
Two-Deep Leadership: Two registered adult leaders or one registered leader and a parent of a participant, one of whom must be 21 years or older, are required for all meetings, trips and outings.

One-on-One activities between Scouts and adults are not permitted

There Are no secret organizations within the Boy Scouts of America. All Scouting activities are open to parental visitation. Hazing and Initiation are prohibited and may not be included in any Scouting Activity.

Corporal Punishment is Never Permitted.

Alcoholic Beverages: Are not permitted on any Scouting Trip, Outing, Meeting, or Function.

Uniforms: May not be worn when selling commercial product or to endorse any political group. Uniforms may be worn when participating in Council Pop Corn Sales, Pin Buster, or other Council sanctioned fundraising event. Refer to Unit Money Earning Application: Should be filed with the Council Service Center for each fundraising event. These are not needed for council sanctioned events.

Water Activities: There must be approved water personnel present for all water activities. Cub Scouts and Webelos may not use canoes or participate in white water activities. Refer to the Leaders handbook and the guide to safe Scouting

Advancement: In order to purchase advancement items at the Council Service center, an advancement form must be filled out completely.

Permission slips: are encouraged for outings and trips.

Tour Permits: Trips of 500 or more miles require a National Tour Permit, filed with the Northeast Region 30 days prior to the trip. Trips of 0-499 miles require a Local Tour permit.

Seat Belts: Are required for each adult and child. Drivers must be at least twenty-one years of age.
