| Part of the goal of this big idea is to have Tiger Cubs learn to become both good winners and good losers as well. In addition, this big idea will teach them how to play by the rules and how to follow instructions. It also provides the opportunity for them to develop patience as they work to solve a puzzle or invent a new game. | ||
| Activity Suggestions for Families: | ||
| 1. Learn a new board game together. | ||
| 2. Have family tournaments in chess, checkers, or marbles. | ||
| 3. Make paper airplanes and hold races. | ||
| 4. Make up a game that you can use while traveling. | ||
| 5. Put together a jigsaw puzzle, one that the whole family can take part in. | ||
| 6. Learn some magic tricks and perform them for the family. | ||
| Activity Suggestions for the Tiger Cub Den: | ||
| 1. Hold a masquerade party with everyone wearing a homemade costume or mask. | ||
| 2. Hold an aerospace day where you have miniature balloon races, and a paper airplane show and derby. | ||
| 3. Play some noncompetitive games. | ||
| 4. Hold a magic show. | ||
| 5. Have a families team game. | ||
| 6. Go visit a hot-air balloon event, and have a picnic while you're there. | ||
| 7. Have a board games tournament. | ||
| 8. Make jigsaw puzzles and trade then with one another. | ||
