| The purpose of this big idea is to help you and your Tiger Cub explore the things that make your family unique, special, one of a kind. Take the opportunity to let everyone talk about those things that strengthen the family. It will help everyone develop more of a sense of belonging and pride. The goal of this big idea is to make family bonds stronger. | ||
| Activity Suggestions for Families: | ||
| 1. Get out your old family photo album, Bible, antiques, or souvenirs, or just discuss some family memories with your Tiger Cub. | ||
| 2. Start your own family scrapbook or photo album. | ||
| 3. Develop plans for a family vacation next year. | ||
| 4. Develop a family secret code for emergencies or just for fun. | ||
| 5. Develop a family coat of arms using symbols in it that have special significance to your family. | ||
| 6. Put together a family calendar noting family events in the coming months. | ||
| 7. Have a family reunion. | ||
| 8. Make one day or evening a week a family day. | ||
| 9. Find out what your name means or signifies. | ||
| 10. Take some family snapshots or make some tape recordings of your family on a birthday or some other special day. | ||
| 11. Establish a family message board. | ||
| 12. Come up with your own family song, cheer, or flag. | ||
| 13. Don't forget to consider some of your own activity ideas. | ||
| Activity Suggestions for the Tiger Cub Den: | ||
| 1. Hold an ice-cream social; make your own ice cream. | ||
| 2. Plan a potluck picnic. | ||
| 3. Hold a den sunrise picnic. | ||
| 4. Design family coats of arms at the den meeting. | ||
