| The purpose of this big idea is to provide fun for all Tiger Cubs and adults to get to know one another at the first Tiger Cub den meeting. Also, to provide a meeting format as an example of one way a future meeting can be run. Use the suggested den meeting format detailed on page 5 of your Family Activity Book. You may also refer to the Tiger Cub Resource Book for additional information. | ||
| Activity Suggestions for Families: | ||
| 1. Find out about your Tiger Cub partner and introduce him or her at a den meeting. | ||
| 2. Think about those things you have done that make you proud, and share these with your Tiger Cub partner. | ||
| 3. Talk together about the big idea you selected, and make some preliminary plans for your leadership for that occasion. | ||
| 4. Draw pictures or make a list of three things you like to do with your Tiger Cub partner. Bring these to the den meeting to share. | ||
| 5. Start a "Tiger Tales" scrapbook. Use it to share your activities during your year in Tiger Cubs. | ||
| Activity Suggestions for the Tiger Cub Den: | ||
| 1. Make a den totem using unshelled peanuts. Let each boy decorate one, then glue the shells together. | ||
| 2. Introduce your adult partner and tell about some of the things you have learned about him/her. | ||
| 3. With your partner, make a list of fun things you do together. | ||
| 4. Share your "Tiger Tales" scrapbook with other members of your den. | ||
| 5. Discuss what you would like to see and do during your time as a Tiger Cub. | ||
