Model kits can be fun to put together. You can be proud of your model when it is finished. Most boys like to build models. Did you know that you might still be building models when you grow up! Many grown-ups like to build models as a hobby. They build ships out of wood or large model train layouts they call pikes. Models are also used by companies for serious purposes. Automakers build small models of their new cars before they actually start making them. Companies that build airplanes do the same things. People who design and build shopping centers and other buildings often build models to see what the building will look like. Model building can be serious business for grown-ups. As you can see, model building can be more than just going to the hobby shop and buying a kit. |
