Boys' Life
"Say YES to Reading"

Each year, Boys' Life magazine sponsors a contest to promote reading among Cub Scouts. The contest is open to all Boys' Life readers in one of three age categories:
  • 8 years old and younger
  • 9 and 10 years old
  • 11 years and older
The top three winners from each age group will be announced in Boys' Life around June 2001.

  These are the rules:
____  1.   Choose the book you enjoyed reading the most this year. It can be fiction or non-fiction.

____  2.   Write a one-page report titled "The Best Book I Read This Year". The report has to be in your own words.

____  3.   Include your name, address, age, and grade in school on your report.

____  4.   Send your report along with a stamped, self-addressed business-size envelope to:
BSA, Boys' Life Reading Contest
S204, P.O. Box 152079
Irving, TX 75015-2079

  ____  5.   Entries must be post-marked by December 31, 2000.

When Pedro receives your report, you'll receive a free patch similar to this one. The patch is a temporary insignia, so it can be worn on the right pocket of your Cub Scout uniform shirt.

In addition to having their names appear in Boys' Life magazine, the winners will also receive a Leatherman multi-tool, copies of Codemaster books 1 and 2, and the limited edition Codemaster pin-and-patch set.

  Happy Reading!
