		The first pack meeting of the year will be held on October 18, 2001 at 7:00 P.M. in the Franklin School Auditorium.
		Happy 50th Birthday to Pack 172!
		Pack 172 has been a chartered Cub Scout Pack for 50 years. All Scouts in the pack are entitled to wear the 50 year Veteran Unit Bar on their uniforms. The bar is worn on the left sleeve below the council shoulder patch and above the Pack numerals.
		Attention Catholic scouts!
		Bear and Webelos scouts are eligible to earn the Parvuli Dei award, while Tiger and Wolf scouts may earn the Light of Christ award. The medals are presented at a special ceremony at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Newark on Scouting Sunday, February 3, 2002. In order to receive the award at this ceremony, you must complete the program and submit your application by December 5, 2001. Program booklets are available at the Wyatt Service Center in Mountainside. For more information, contact Julie Clemens.
