2012 Scholarship Auditions

The Musical Club of Westfield is pleased to announce that college scholarships are available to qualified high school seniors. In order to qualify, the student must provide evidence of outstanding musical and academic achievement, financial need, and a commitment to pursuing a degree in music at an accredited music school or college.

The Scholarship Awards Committee will conduct the auditions at 7:00 pm, the evening of April 25^th. [Date may change, check back here one week before] Audition requirements are as follows: two contrasting pieces from the standard repertoire for instrument or voice. The selections must be performed from memory. The student must provide his/her accompanist as needed.

An official high school transcript, two letters of recommendation (one from a guidance counselor and one from your private music teacher), and an FAFSA form must accompany completed applications. In addition to the above documents you must also include a non-refundable application fee of $25. Please make checks out to the “Musical Club of Westfield”. Applications must be received at the above address by April 1^st. No applications will be accepted after the deadline. Upon receipt of all required documentation, an audition time will be assigned.
