MOTHERS' CENTER ANNOUNCES SPRING SOCIAL & OPEN HOUSE

      Calling all moms… The Mothers' Center of Central New Jersey will hold a spring social and open house on Thursday, March 27th from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Center is located in the Education Building at Trinity Episcopal Church, North and Forest Avenues in Cranford.

      What is a Mothers’ Center? It’s a place to meet other moms in a warm & welcoming setting. It’s a time to listen & be listened to. It’s an opportunity to learn you are not alone

in the challenges that come with being a mom.

      Founded in 1978, The Mothers’ Center of Central New Jersey offers discussion groups, craft groups, book clubs, social events and playgroups. On-site babysitting is available for most daytime activities

            Our eight week spring session begins March 31st and includes the following groups:

       “Knitting”, led by a skilled knitting instructor this group is designed for those interested in learning to knit, or those who want to improve their knitting skills, 

      “A-Z” offers 90 minutes of uninterrupted time to devote to projects such as organizing photos, clipping coupons, scrap-booking, balancing the checkbook or reading the newspaper while you chat with other moms.

      “Mommy & Me Crafts”, Join a former kindergarten teacher, for some fun with your child.  Each week there will be a story and a related craft/snack.  Activities should be appropriate for 2 1/2 to 5 year olds.  Babysitting will be available for siblings.   

      “Yoga”, is an opportunity to try hot yoga in a less demanding atmosphere.  All levels welcome, especially those who have never done yoga before.

      “Morning and Afternoon Playgroup”, Moms and kids enjoying each others’ company in free play in the childcare room filled with age-appropriate toys, puzzles, coloring, and books.
