Language Arts

“Our students learn to write through a variety of writing opportunities.  They write about the theme-related content, high-interest literary selections, and a wide range of school subjects.  Students learn to put their thoughts in order, to develop concepts, to make facts come alive; using technology, word processing, Power Point, media (movies, pictures, video), etc.  They’re guided by reasons for writing and inspired by examples of how top-quality writers have written for each reason.  Students link prior knowledge to new experiences as they use the stages of the writing process.  Through each writing experience they become better thinkers, readers, listeners, and speakers.  But most importantly, your students learn about themselves and grow in self-confidence.  After all, learning is what writing is all about!”
