Girl
Scouting can only happen for today's girls if volunteers give their
time, energy, and expertise to help girls be the best that they can
be!
Did you know that . . .
- Some girls are not in Girl Scouting because troops cannot be formed
without adult leadership?
- Troops need additional adults to assist volunteer leaders?
- Adults are needed to be short term consultants to enrich program?
You don't have to have been a Girl Scout growing
up, or be a mother of a Girl Scout to be eligible to volunteer.
You don't even have to be a women. Girl Scout leaders come in all
shapes, sizes, and ages - moms, dads, grandparents, retirees, young
professionals, single women, the list goes on.
In order for girls to benefit from Girl Scouting,
they need the guidance of concerned, caring adults. For some volunteers,
that guidance may be given through working directly with girls throughout
the year. For others, it may be to provide expertise for a specific
short-term project or event. We offer flexible options to anyone
interested in lending a hand, and we provide training for all of
our volunteers. Remember, our children are our future; they need
our help and support.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Trainers
- Troop Leaders
- Project Coordinators
- Camp Volunteers
- Committee Members
- Program Consultants
- Public Relations Coordinators
- Fund Raisers
