ROSELLE PARK --  Members of the Roselle Park Community of the Girl Scouts of Washington Rock Council gathered at Girl Scout Park in mid-June to unveil the new park sign and raise new Girl Scout flag.  Back in April the scouts in town were asked to submit an entry into the sign contest.  Unable to make a decision, Service Unit leadership took parts of three designs and created the new sign.  The winning designs were submitted by Christina Masucci, Jessica Henriques, and Vanessa Vogler and the sign was made and donated by John Romanoff.

 

Attending the dedication on behalf of Mayor and Council was Councilman Michael Yakubov.

Jan and Nora Scholte, parents of a former leader who passed away in 1997, donated the new Girl Scout Flag and raised it proudly in memory of their daughter Jackie.  The Roselle Park Girl Scouts will be honored by the Mayor and Council during the July Council meeting.
