MIDDLEVILLE—Nearly 50 friends and supporters of
Girl Scouting turned out on Sept. 14 for a Pavilion Groundbreaking Ceremony
at Camp Lou Henry Hoover. The Pavilion, which will be constructed adjacent
to the camp’s playfield, will house a plaque honoring Idamae Trenner.
The camp’s director from 1969-1975, Trenner has a long
and distinguished history with Hoover. Camp Hoover is the summer resident
camp of the Girl Scouts of Washington Rock Council. The ceremony featured
a multitude of former Hoover staffers and Trenner’s family recalling their
fondest memories.
