Great Adventure Promotion Underway
GSWRC is pleased to announce it has joined in on an exciting partnership between Girl Scouts of the USA and Six Flags.  As part of this nationwide promotion, new Girl Scout volunteers as well as existing volunteers increasing their responsibilities (i.e. a troop Mom stepping up to be a leader or a leader stepping up to join the Service Team) will receive a free ticket to Six Flags Great Adventure.  This is a great tool for spring recruitment.  The free ticket is non-transferable and must be used during the month of July.  To take advantage of this opportunity, interested parties must register online at the linked website.  Please note that these tickets are available for adult volunteers only.  For questions on this program, contact Peggy Mellors at pmellors@gswrc.com.

Family Giving Reminder

Family Giving rebates will be processed in May for troops who have submitted their donations by yesterday, April 15th.  For donations received after April 15th, rebates will be issued at a time to be determined.   For more information on this, please contact your Membership Specialist.

Be Sure to Share
With realignment approaching, GSWRC is looking to collect memories from our adult volunteers.  If you could kindly share your most memorable Girl Scout moment either as a girl or adult, we would appreciate it.  Memories can be submitted via email to contact@gswrc.com or by mail to the council office.

Realignment Update--New Board Members Needed

The realignment and merger process is moving along with the near completion of several key aspects of the process.  One of the more critical components of the GS of the Heart of New Jersey will be the selection of the leadership through the election of a new board of directors and members of the Nominating Committee.

The board of the new council will have the key responsibility of ensuring that the vision of the council is kept at the fore front of all decision and will be in the best interest of the girls and volunteers that we serve.

The recruitment of a top-notched officer team and members-at-large is now in progress.  We invite you to submit your name or the names of other qualified candidates by complete the forms attached.  Please review the position description for the type of person or persons we seek.  Men, as well as women, are invited to serve as board members.  Here are additional forms: information on the Board Development Committee, as well as nomination forms in a word and pdf format.

If you have any questions, please contact the committee chair, Malissa Cass at cassfamily2@verizon.net

Thank you
