Tips for a Successful Booth Sale

--At least one adult must be in the Booth Sale are at all times.  At least two adults must be scheduled in the same shift in case of an emergency or for break time.  Girls must never go off along or be left alone at the booth.

--Girls must stay at the Booth at all times and not be allowed to roam the area.

--Wear uniforms or other Girl Scout identification.

--Dress for the weather.

--Always be courteous.  Good manners are the keys to successful selling.

--Smile and make eye contact.  Speak politely (Please and Thank You).

--Never approach people in parking lots of drive thru areas.  Stay in the Booth area.  No eating, drinking, chewing gum or smoking while in the Booth, protect the cookies.  Keep them out of the sun, rain or snow.

--Remember, a Girl Scout always leaves a place cleaner than she found it.  Take trash with you.

--Send a 'thank you' card or note to the store manager.

--Keep records of cookies sold and money collected at each location and what the weather conditions were like for reference next year.  Keep the money box in a secure place.  Adults must be responsible for the money box at all times.

--Have each girls parent/guardian sign a permission slip.  Please have these with you as well as the girls' medical emergency cards.

--The adult in charge of the Booth Sale must check in with the merchant.  Place the table only in the area the merchant designates.

Adults--Please remember that you are representing Girl Scouting when you and your girls are selling cookies.  If you should find your site double booked with another troop, keep in mind you are a role model for your girls and a representative of GSWRC, to the public and store managers.
