MARCIA WEINFELD, violinist
Marcia Weinfeld
began her studies in Buffalo and later studied with Philipp Naegele at
Smith College, Broadus Erie at the Yale School of Music and with Felix
Galamir at the Mannes College of Music. She received a Masters Degree at
Yale and has participated in many summer festivals in the U.S. and Europe.
Ms. Weinfeld joined the National Arts Center Orchestra
in Ottawa, Canada, where she was a frequent performer in the orchestra's
chamber music series. She has also been a soloist with the Boston
Pops under Arthur Fiedler.
Since 1983 she has made her home in New York City, where she has
performed extensively with the Orchestra of St. Luke's. She has toured
both here and abroad with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra as well as with
her husband, Richard Goode. Most recently, Ms. Weinfeld has appeared
at the Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, SC.
